The 2023 3 Rivers Mini Marathon will be hosted by Port Macquarie Rowing Club on Sunday 27 August, on the Wilson Maria and Hastings Rivers.

The 25 km long race starts at Log Wharf Reserve, Telegraph Point and makes its way to the Port Macquarie Rowing Club. Entry is open to any category of scull or sweep boats and costs $40 per seat.

It’s a tough endurance row, with some tricky navigation, sand bars, twisting bends and mangroves. The scenery is pretty and the BBQ at the end it worth the pain of shredded hands. The cool thing about this event is that there is no men’s and women’s events, everyone is thrown in the same race. Last year a women’s quad featuring Trudy MacDonald broke the course record, and word is that they’re looking to smash it again this year.

Once you have your crew together and paid your entry fee, email me at kirstinjberry@hotmail.com with your boat preference and I will draft the boat allocation. Boat loading will be at 8:30am on Saturday 26 August, with all crews expected to attend and load their own boats and equipment. If you can volunteer to tow the trailer, please let me know.
